BOHAHAHAHA.

holy crap, i'm finally done with this piece of $#!7 i'll get to the basic first before complaining about this doodle some more.

inuzuka kiba as motomiya daisuke
uchiha sasuke as ichijouji ken
haruno sakura as inoue miyako
hyuuga hinata as yagami hikari
uzumaki naruto as takaishi takeru
rock lee as hida iori
orochimaru as oikawa yukio

i had trouble deciding between kiba and naruto being daisuke and takeru. it ended up like this just basing their appearance. but if i were to base it on personalities, it would be the opposite. naruto and kiba are similar, but naruto is more stubborn and brash, kiba can keep his cool. so in personalities, naruto resembles daisuke much more than takeru; kiba resembles takeru a tad more, but he can pass off as daisuke too. ah, and also the fact that takeru seems to be able to string hikari easier than daisuke can contributes to the whole naruto being takeru thing (hinata having a crush on naruto and all). the one thing that peeves me is that, there is no relation at all between kiba and sasuke for kiba being daisuke would work. but oh well, just going for the appearance similarities.

it is quite scary how some of the stuff works out as i was doodling this o_o; as in orochimaru being oikawa and all. and sasuke being ken. i think both sasuke and ken have brother complex, this plays out with sasuke obsessed on killing itachi, and ken being the kaiser and all. then orochimaru who's obsessed and has put a mark on sasuke, almost the same as oikawa planting (well, not him directly) the dark spore/seed on ken. both greasy guys going after the angsty pretty boys, basically.

alrighty. first off. i am sad that i made a big-ass mistake on lee's hair, there. his bangs are too damn long that you can't see his fuzzy eyebrows then there's naruto whose head is twice bigger than the others'. i'm surprised i managed an orochimaru, though my attempt on making him look purplish-pale just made him. well.. purple. GAH. then there's the whole coloring in general. i can't stress enough the fact colors hate me. AGH.

i snatched the background from shikamaru's fight scene against rin in the preliminary chuunin exam. i was thinking of blue-greenish, but i really couldn't pull it of, so i cheated.

haha. i know the black lines are too thick to serve the whole doodle as a mock-screencap. but oh well. i don't know why i inluded the little subtitle there. just because, i guess. and they apparently still have their original names as shown with kiba shouting "damn you, orochimaru!!!"

this is perhaps the longest babble i've ever had on a doodle. just because i've slaved away on this doodle for a week or so. working on and off on it. i challenged myself on coloring everything on one layer. so i had an outline layer, base color layer for everyone, then the shade layer for everyone. then i just chucked in a background. needless to say, i'm going to stay away from coloring one layer from now on.

[edit] i forgot. their skin-tone sucks mah ass i like the sketch way much more TT_TT
